This project also follows a holistic approach that not only refers to the training of young women and men, but also improves the future prospects of these young people across the board.

Special individual components of this project are:

550 young women and men take part in the vocational training courses. For participants with limited knowledge, additional reading, writing and mathematics courses are offered.

275 participants also attend English and computer courses.

Half of all participants then complete an internship in a local company with the aim of getting a job.

The other half of the young women and men who have decided to become self-employed take part in entrepreneurial training, attend skills training and receive start-up help in setting up their own micro-enterprises and gain access to small loans through networking with savings groups.

Young mothers among the participants will be provided with care options for their children. In the 8 affected project communities, educational and awareness-raising events are being held for employers as well as for the parents and relatives of the young people in order to increase their chances of getting a good start to work. There is also training for employers and government and authority employees on labor law, gender equality, safety and health protection at work.

Since the project areas are at risk of disasters (landslides, floods), additional educational events on disaster management and the effects of climate change are held.

In addition, a network is being established with close relationships with local authorities, chambers of commerce and other representatives of crafts and small industries as well as associations in the hotel, construction and agricultural sectors.
Alumni groups will also be set up so that participants can exchange their experiences with each other.

This project supports large numbers of girls, but also boys. For cultural reasons, projects are better accepted and supported locally if a certain number of boys are also supported

Our goal: We want to finance 20 professional training courses at 828 euros each for young women, i.e. a total of 16,560 euros. Get involved!

We would be pleased to find your contribution to these scholarships on our donation account and we thank you very much in advance.
